Benjamin Clark, age 9, of Odon, Indiana, was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma on May 2, 2025.
Ben is not your average 9-year-old. Within just 24 hours of receiving his diagnosis, he was back on the baseball field, hitting triples and making plays at second base. His strength, determination, and love for the game have inspired everyone around him.
Benjamin is surrounded by an incredible support system of family, friends, and community. Known as “Ben’s Army,” that support continues to grow across Indiana and beyond.
Ben is also a proud Indiana University fan, “hoo, hoo, hoo... Hoosiers!”, with the exception of one memorable day when he claimed Purdue loyalty.
Ben continues to show resilience, courage, and heart as his treatment journey continues.
To date, Ben has completed 14 rounds of chemotherapy.
While his family was preparing for radiation as the final phase of treatment, his care plan recently changed following an additional review of his March 2 scans. A second opinion revealed concerns that two remaining nodules in his lungs may be resistant to prior treatment, raising the possibility of microscopic cells elsewhere in his body.
As a result, Ben will now undergo maintenance chemotherapy as he continues this fight.
Despite this unexpected turn, Ben continues to show incredible resilience, courage, and heart.
